Assam is the land of two mighty rivers -Brahmaputra and Barak. Every year these two rivers and their tributaries cause floods in vast areas of Assam which leads to human misery and devastation of nature. And this year also the first wave of flash flood has affected around Districts of Assam where nearly 34 lakhs people are severely affected and also because of the ongoing pandemic people have undergone a great loss.
So, Kaushalya Organisation initiated a campaign named “AKHUJ- A step” where we helped the Flood Victims of Assam. We are looking forward to helping more people since it has been a great loss for Assam during this Pandemic.
We have already covered over 1000+ families in parts of Kaziranga, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat. Flood relief drive among 775 families covering 4 villages (Jelengitup, Mokaloni, Naoboisa, Ghurchu Pathar) in Teok, Assam
Till Now Kaushalya Organisation has distributed the following for Assam Flood affected victims
- 6000kg of Rice
- 2000 kg of Dal
- 200 kg of Flat Rice
- 1000 Sanitary Pads
- 1000 Soap
- 1000 detergent powder
